In this piece I was really drawn to the beginning and the ending when you had a background against a character and they both were moving at the same time. Some of the stuff in the middle I just couldnt connect to. The colors were nice and seem vintanged like.
I was really engaged because the motion is well done. I can't say that I really know what is going on though. This may just be me. Maybe you weren't going for a narrative at all. I like the transformations and focus on these iconic women. I get a bit confused when I see the picture of the real person in contrast to the drawings. I think you utilized the 3d space well. I find your critique of yourself really relevant and understand where you are coming from as far as utilizing the program to create a motion design and not just moving pictures.
i am confused by what exactly you are trying to convey through this piece. the first image made sense because i knew you were talking about cowboys and outlaws but this new imagery throws me off. the way the animation is done itself is very nice but i'm unsure of what you're trying to tell me.
Simply put, I am a designer, but my creative interests are unlimited. Most of my professional experience at this point is heavily based on print and publication design, but I also aim to explore how my skills in print design may translate to my passion of motion graphics and film design. Although navigating a mouse and typing on a keyboard requires full use of one's appendages, outside of design, I love to work with my hands exploring a variety of materials and processes. With experience in bookmaking, papermaking, and printmaking, I have found that my knowledge of design has been useful in more ways than one. Adversely, my exceptional skills in drawing, painting, and photography have lent much service to my design endeavors. However, I have recently and most often been drawn to the malleability and tactility of yarn and fabric as I explore endless possibilities threw crocheting and sewing.
Putting art aside, I enjoy the outdoors, playing tennis, and a peaceful afternoon spent reading a good book in my hammock.
